Many note-taking tools send a bot into your meeting that shows up as another participant. Aiolos records the audio right on your Mac: nobody has to admit anyone, and the recording stays with you.
Joins the call as another participant
Records on someone else’s servers
No extra participant in the call
The recording stays on your Mac
Aiolos notices when a call or an online event with others begins and asks whether to record. With your calendar from iCloud, Google or Microsoft. Or start it with your shortcut.
Aiolos records your microphone and the call’s audio separately. In Google Meet and Teams, it keeps track of who is speaking.
After the call, Aiolos transcribes on your Mac and writes notes with an overview, action items and decisions.
An overview, action items and decisions, plus the transcript with names. You can edit, rewrite and export all of it.
Any platform. Zoom, Teams, Google Meet, Webex or Slack: Aiolos listens in, and nobody has to let a bot join.
Speakers by name. In Google Meet and Teams, Aiolos reads who is speaking and puts their name in the transcript.
Invited and present. With a calendar event, Aiolos checks the invitation against who was actually in the call.
Notes like a document. Edit them directly, add your own points, pick a structure and have them rewritten.
Points that open up. Behind every bullet are the details and the spot in the transcript it came from.
Where you work. Export to Notion, Obsidian, Apple Notes, OneNote or Markdown.

Audio and transcript are created and kept on your Mac. Speech recognition runs locally with Whisper, and no recording goes to a server.
For the notes, only the transcript text goes to the AI, never audio. By default the models run in EU data centers. Neither we nor the AI providers store it, and nobody trains on it. Or the offline AI (beta) writes the notes right on your Mac.
Let everyone know before you record and get their consent. In Germany and many other places, recording without consent is against the law.
Hold a key, speak, let go: Aiolos types your text into any app, cleanly worded and in 99 languages.
As an early bird, you get everything and use the AI with your own key. After that, Aiolos comes free with limits, or as Pro with the AI included.

Aiolos is a Mac app for meeting notes and dictation. In a meeting it records your microphone and system audio right on your Mac, with no bot in the call, and then writes notes with action items, decisions and open questions. Between calls you dictate with it in any app, see dictation.
No. Aiolos records the audio right on your Mac. No extra participant shows up in the call.
Every calendar your Mac knows: iCloud, Google, Microsoft 365 and Exchange. Aiolos reads the macOS calendar. For Google or Microsoft, add the account once under System Settings → Internet Accounts, and its events show up in Aiolos too. Aiolos only reminds you of online events with at least two participants; start a meeting in a room with your shortcut. It still notices a call without an event as soon as Zoom, Teams, Meet or another app uses your microphone.
Any app whose audio plays on your Mac: Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Google Meet, Webex, Slack and more. Speaker names work in Google Meet in Chrome and in the Teams app.
Yes. Let everyone know before you record and get their consent. In Germany and many other places, recording a private conversation without consent is against the law.
Yes. Recording and transcript always run on your Mac. The notes are written by the AI in the cloud or, with the offline AI (beta) for early birds and on Pro, right on your Mac. That needs a Mac with 32 GB of memory and a Pro, Max or Ultra chip, and takes a little longer than in the cloud.
On your Mac. Only for the notes does the transcript text go to the AI models, by default in data centers in the EU. Neither we nor the AI providers store it. Audio never leaves your Mac. With the offline AI (beta), the transcript stays on your Mac too.
No. After the early bird phase, the AI is included: 2,000 AI words a week on the free plan, fair use on Pro. Only with the early bird license do you add your own OpenRouter key, and the in-app introduction shows you how in a few minutes. Dictating in Raw mode, word for word, needs no AI at all.
The first 50 users get Aiolos free, with no expiry date. Updates are free too, for as long as we offer them to early birds; the version you have stays yours either way. You receive a personal license key for one device (a Mac or, once Aiolos is available for it, a Windows PC) and get every feature without the free plan's limits, offline AI (beta) included. You use the AI with your own OpenRouter key and pay for it directly there, with no markup from us: about $0.19 per 1,000 dictations and about $0.05 per meeting hour. In return, you agree that we may contact you by email for marketing purposes, such as news, surveys and feedback. You can withdraw at any time, with the link in every email or in the privacy policy, and keep your license.
The first 50 users get Aiolos free for life as early birds. After the early bird phase, there are two plans: Free, with unlimited meeting recording and transcripts, AI notes for 3 meetings a month and 2,000 AI words a week for dictation, and Pro for €59 a year or €7.99 a month, with AI included for up to 40 meeting hours a month. All prices include VAT.
To Notion, Obsidian, Apple Notes and OneNote, as a Markdown file or to the clipboard. A meeting lands once per target: export it again and Aiolos takes you to the existing page. On the free plan after the early bird phase, you export to Markdown and Apple Notes.
Both record without a bot. According to Granola, it transcribes in the cloud and stores notes in the US. Aiolos transcribes on your Mac, keeps everything local and runs the AI in EU data centers by default. More in the comparison with Granola.
Setup takes a few minutes. The in-app introduction walks you through every step.
