Where your voice is processed
Wispr Flow sends your speech to its servers for recognition. According to Wispr, Flow transcribes in the cloud on every platform and therefore always needs a connection (source). Its data controls let you decide whether Wispr stores transcripts, audio and history on its servers.
Aiolos recognizes speech with Whisper right on your Mac. No audio leaves the device. Only when you use an AI mode does the recognized text go to an AI model, in EU data centers by default. With the offline AI (beta), that stays on your Mac too.
